In a bid to improve convenience for non-resident Indians (NRIs), Swiggy has launched a new feature called International Logins. This initiative enables users from 27 countries, including the United States, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the UAE, to access the full suite of services on the Swiggy app using their international phone numbers. The company stated that this feature is here to stay, aiming to streamline the process of ordering food, utilizing Swiggy’s quick commerce platform, Swiggy Instamart, and booking tables through Swiggy Dineout.
Users can make payments easily through international credit cards or existing UPI options. Phani Kishan, Co-founder and CGO of Swiggy, emphasized the importance of food and gifts during family gatherings, especially during festive occasions. “With International Login, those living abroad can now surprise their loved ones on special occasions. This feature, long requested by our international users, is launching just in time for the festive season. Soon, NRIs will also benefit from a new gifting layout, making sending festive gifts or making dinner reservations back home easier,” he noted.
