VOC Automotive, an emerging startup in the two-wheeler service sector, has raised INR 1.5 crore in funding from Corporate Warranty India Pvt Ltd (CWI). This strategic investment is aimed at expanding VOC Automotive’s footprint across India, with a mission to offer affordable and quality services to two-wheeler users.

The startup provides a wide array of services, including general and major servicing, painting, denting, and specialized coatings, at costs significantly lower—up to 30%—than traditional service centers. Notably, VOC Automotive has introduced an industry-first extended warranty program, covering six months for engine oil replacement and two years for other major services, applicable to vehicles manufactured from 2015 onwards.

VOC Automotive has also embraced digital transformation with the introduction of the VOC Smart Rider app. This app allows customers to book services either for doorstep delivery or at the nearest VOC service center. Additionally, the VOC Smart Dealer app aggregates hyperlocal service centers, enhancing service accessibility.

Despite starting with just one outlet during the challenging pandemic period, VOC Automotive has demonstrated remarkable growth and profitability. Co-founder Venkatesh B M highlighted the company’s resilient journey and its attractive franchise model, which has been instrumental in drawing investment from partners like CWI. The company’s revenue trajectory is impressive: INR 2 crore in FY-22, INR 2.7 crore in FY-23, and a significant jump to INR 10 crore in FY-24. With an ambitious goal to reach INR 100 crore by FY-25, VOC plans to establish 300 outlets nationwide, including new regions in North and West India.

CWI’s investor expressed strong confidence in VOC Automotive’s business model, which aligns well with CWI’s post-sale customer retention programs. The investor emphasized the untapped potential in the unorganized two-wheeler market in India and VOC’s efforts to standardize and organize this segment. They also highlighted the founders’ automotive background and experience with OEMs as key factors in their strategic vision.

VOC Automotive is also focusing on strategic collaborations with insurance companies for accidental claims, EV companies for service partnerships, and petroleum and OEM companies. The VOC Smart Rider app aims to onboard 10,000 customers in the current financial year, and the startup is set to launch a vertical for buying and selling pre-owned two-wheelers.

Founded in October 2019 by Venkatesh B M and Lokesh S, VOC Automotive addresses the high costs and limited proximity of authorized service centers for two-wheelers. Both founders, coming from humble beginnings, understood the challenges of maintaining two-wheelers without incurring high expenses. Their solution combines affordability, accessibility, and quality, positioning VOC Automotive as a promising player in India’s two-wheeler service industry. This significant funding from CWI is expected to propel VOC Automotive towards achieving its ambitious expansion goals and transforming the landscape of two-wheeler services in India.
