UPI Sets New Record With 25.47 Billion Transactions Worth ₹31.53 Lakh Crore In October

India's digital payments revolution continues to break records! Unified Payments Interface (UPI) processed an all-time high of 25.47 billion transactions worth ₹31.53 lakh crore in October 2026, according to data released by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).

The milestone represents 23% year-on-year growth in transaction volume and 16% growth in transaction value. UPI also recorded an average daily transaction value of over ₹1 lakh crore, highlighting the growing adoption of digital payments across the country. This momentum reinforces India's position as a major force in the global digital payments ecosystem.
