Ahmedabad's Cosmochute raises $1.5M to build modular lunar mobility platform

Ahmedabad-based space-tech startup Cosmochute has raised $1.5 million in a pre-seed funding round co-led by Accel Atoms and Prosus Ventures, with participation from IIMA Ventures, Operators Studio and angel investor Chinmayi Muthyala. Founded by Janhavi Gore, Amit Chowdhary and Dhruv Alok Sangal, the startup is developing LEAP, a modular lunar mobility platform designed to transport and deploy equipment on the Moon.
The company is setting up lunar laboratories at IIMA Ventures' incubation facility to support the development of its space robotics technology. Its platform combines a reusable rover and trailer with standardised payload bays, aiming to reduce the cost and complexity of lunar transportation. Guided by Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, former Chandrayaan-1 programme director, Cosmochute is working towards building infrastructure for future commercial and scientific missions to the Moon.
