Naukri’s parent company is changing its CEO after more than 16 years. Info Edge announced that Hitesh Oberoi will step down as managing director and CEO at the close of business on 2 December 2026, after nearly 27 years with the company. Founder Sanjeev Bikhchandani will take over as executive vice chairman, managing director and group CEO from 3 December, subject to shareholder approval. Hitesh will stay on the board as a non-executive, non-independent director, also subject to approval.

According to the company’s press release, Info Edge’s market capitalisation grew from about ₹2,500 Cr to about ₹80,000 Cr during Hitesh’s tenure as CEO. Beyond Naukri, the company runs platforms including 99acres, Jeevansathi and Shiksha, and has invested in Indian startups.
