Scripbox Takes a Major Step Towards IPO with Public Company Conversion

Bengaluru-based wealthtech startup Scripbox is taking a significant step towards a potential stock market listing. The company's board has approved its conversion from Scripbox Wealth Managers Private Limited into Scripbox Wealth Managers Limited, marking an important development in its IPO preparations. The proposed public offering is expected to include a fresh issue of equity shares alongside an offer for sale by existing shareholders.

Founded in 2012 by Atul Shinghal and Sanjiv Singhal, Scripbox operates a digital wealth management platform offering investment options such as mutual funds, fixed deposits, US stocks and ETFs. The company turned profitable in FY25, reporting ₹107.2 crore in operating revenue, up 27% year-on-year, and a net profit of ₹12.7 crore. While the conversion signals progress towards a potential IPO, the company has not announced a listing timeline or IPO size.

Could Scripbox's move encourage more profitable Indian startups to explore the public markets?
