ECOPATH Raises ₹2.25 Crore to Scale Its Zero-Cement Construction Technology

Bengaluru-based climate-tech startup ECOPATH has raised ₹2.25 crore in a seed funding round from Social Alpha and Gemcorp to expand its zero-cement construction technology. Founded in 2024 by Sourabh Kumar and Abhishek Chhazed, the company has developed EcoConcrete, a cement-free construction material made using industrial by-products, including steel-industry waste, combined with proprietary binders. The material is used to manufacture pavers, kerbstones, blocks, slabs and ready-mix concrete.
ECOPATH reports an order book exceeding ₹40 crore and more than 40 commercial customers, including Lodha, Tata Power, Jindal Steel, Emmvee Solar and RV University. The fresh capital will support expansion of its precast manufacturing capacity, supply-chain development, research and development, and team growth. The company also plans to expand its presence across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai and Mumbai, as it works to make lower-carbon construction materials more accessible.
