Chennai Startup Inbound Aerospace Targets $10 Million to Build a Reusable Spacecraft for Cargo Returns
1 min read0

Chennai-based space-tech startup Inbound Aerospace, co-founded by Aravind I B, Vishal Reddy and Abhijit Bhutey, is developing a reusable spacecraft designed to carry experiments and payloads into low Earth orbit and bring them safely back to Earth. The startup is reportedly seeking around $10 million in seed funding to advance its reusable re-entry vehicle, autonomous landing technology and testing programme.
The company has completed a one-kilometre drop test using a drone and is preparing for a higher-altitude test as it works towards its first orbital mission in 2028. Its technology could support microgravity research, in-space manufacturing and the recovery of valuable materials from orbit.
