Khyaal Secures ₹7.4 Crore DBS Foundation Award to Scale Its Senior-Citizen Platform

Taisho Ventures, the company behind India's senior-citizen platform Khyaal, has been awarded SGD 1 million (approximately ₹7.4 crore) under the DBS Foundation Impact Beyond Award. Built for people aged 50 and above, Khyaal combines online communities, learning opportunities, entertainment, events and commerce to help older adults stay socially connected and lead more active lives. The platform has reached over 5 million seniors across India, with more than 1 million monthly active users.

The award will support Taisho Ventures in strengthening and scaling Khyaal's services, introducing personalised multilingual AI-powered experiences and expanding access to underserved seniors in Tier-II and Tier-III cities. The recognition is part of DBS Foundation's broader SGD 3 million commitment to four purpose-driven businesses across Asia working to improve the lives of older adults. Khyaal also plans to explore expansion into Southeast Asian markets.
