Sagar Defence Engineering Raises ₹300 Crore In Pre-IPO Funding At ₹20,000 Crore Valuation
Indian defence technology company Sagar Defence Engineering raised ₹300 crore from domestic institutional investors in a pre-IPO funding round, valuing the company at ₹20,000 crore. The funding comes as the company advances towards its proposed public listing.
Founded in 2015 by Capt. Nikunj Parashar and his co-founders, the company develops unmanned and autonomous systems for maritime, aerial and underwater applications. The fresh capital is expected to support research and development, advanced manufacturing and the expansion of its indigenous technology capabilities.
The company has also received SEBI’s final observations on its draft IPO papers, marking another step towards its proposed market debut.
