Indian energy and infrastructure company JAKSON Group plans to invest ₹6,863 crore in an integrated solar manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district. The facility is expected to manufacture silicon ingots, wafers and solar cells, with the project planned in phases to reach a total capacity of 10 GW for ingots and wafers and 5 GW for solar cells.
The project is expected to create around 2,000 jobs and strengthen India’s domestic solar manufacturing supply chain. The first phase is targeted to begin commercial production in 2028, with the remaining capacity planned to come online by 2030.
