YC-backed healthtech startup BioStack Platforms has raised $9.5 million in seed funding to turn fragmented hospital records into structured datasets for training and evaluating medical AI models. The round was backed by Peak XV, Afore Capital, DCVC, Emerson Collective, SV Angel, Verdict Capital, Streamlined Ventures and Y Combinator. Founded by Sanat M. and Parth Patwa, BioStack connects clinical notes, medical scans, lab results, medications and treatment histories.
The company says its data infrastructure spans the US, India, Brazil and Argentina, with access to more than 100 million de-identified patient records. The fresh capital will support international expansion, technology development and hiring across engineering and research teams, as demand grows for high-quality data to power healthcare AI.
