Perceptyne Is Bringing Tactile Intelligence To Indian Factory Floors With PR-OMNI

What if industrial robots could feel the objects they handle? Hyderabad-based robotics startup Perceptyne is bringing that capability to factory automation with PR-OMNI, a wheeled semi-humanoid robot designed for complex electronics and automotive manufacturing tasks.

Featuring two 7-degree-of-freedom arms, a combined 10 kg payload, and in-house force, torque and tactile sensing, PR-OMNI is built to handle parts that may not always arrive in perfectly aligned positions. The company is also developing its own actuators and physical AI stack, aiming to make factory automation more adaptable and precise. With commercial pilots underway, Perceptyne is positioning Indian-built robotics for the next generation of intelligent manufacturing.
