Razorpay Secures Final GIFT City Licence To Expand Cross-Border Payments

Razorpay has received its final Payment Service Provider (PSP) licence from the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), enabling the fintech company to expand cross-border money movement through GIFT City, Gujarat.
The licence supports foreign-currency transfers, multi-currency accounts and payment infrastructure for international transactions, including services for platforms offering global investments. Razorpay has integrated with RBL Bank and ICICI Bank, with investment platforms expected to go live soon.
The move comes as Indian residents invested $2.65 billion in overseas stocks and debt in FY26, up 56% year-on-year. By enabling platforms to integrate with a unified infrastructure, Razorpay aims to simplify the operational complexity of cross-border financial services, while operating within applicable FEMA and GIFT City regulations.
