Konwert India Motors, a Coimbatore-based electric mobility startup, has raised a pre-Series A funding round led by The Chennai Angels, with participation from existing investors Campus Angels Network, Keiretsu Forum Chennai and Native Angel Network. The company converts petrol, CNG and LPG auto-rickshaws into electric vehicles, offering drivers an alternative to purchasing a new electric three-wheeler.

The fresh capital will support sales growth, product expansion and entry into new markets in India and abroad. By retrofitting vehicles already on the road, Konwert aims to make electric mobility more accessible to auto-rickshaw drivers.
