India’s auto-tech sector raised $1.3 billion across 97 equity funding rounds between January 1 and October 15, 2026, according to Tracxn. While the total remains below the $2.1 billion raised across 195 rounds in 2025, a handful of large investments accounted for most of this year’s capital.
Rapido led the funding activity with $240 million, followed by electric two-wheeler maker Simple Energy with $180 million and River with $102 million. Late-stage rounds contributed $810 million, while Bengaluru-based companies attracted approximately $894 million—nearly 70% of the sector’s total. The figures highlight how investment is concentrating in established companies even as the number of funding rounds declines.
