Mumbai-based music-tech startup Hoopr has launched Hoopr Smash Plus, a new platform designed to simplify music licensing for television commercials, OTT campaigns, films, web series and other large-scale productions. The platform brings music rights clearance into a single workflow, helping brands, advertising agencies and production studios avoid lengthy negotiations with multiple rights holders.

Kisna Jewellers became the first brand to license music through Smash Plus, using the song ‘Woh Kisna Hai’ from the Tips Music catalogue for its advertising campaign featuring Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor. Building on Hoopr Smash, which features music from over 23 labels and more than 600 artists, the new platform aims to make commercial music licensing faster while creating additional revenue opportunities for music labels and artists.
