Skyroot Aerospace Secures Two-Launch Deal With US Startup Reflect Orbital

Hyderabad-based space startup Skyroot Aerospace signed a two-launch agreement with California-based Reflect Orbital to support the deployment of satellites designed to redirect sunlight towards selected locations on Earth after sunset.

Under the agreement, the missions will use Skyroot’s Vikram-1 and Vikram-1U launch vehicles. Reflect Orbital aims to develop an on-demand space-based illumination service with potential applications in disaster response, search-and-rescue operations and extending solar farm operations.

The partnership marks another step in Skyroot’s efforts to expand its international customer base and strengthen India’s position in the growing commercial space-launch market.
