From Five Years of R&D to Clinical Progress: How Lenek Technologies Is Advancing Medical Imaging

Building meaningful healthcare technology takes more than a promising idea. It takes years of experimentation, setbacks and continuous development. That journey is reflected in IIT Kanpur-incubated Lenek Technologies, co-founded by **Chirag Agrawal and Sidesh Kumar Dhakar** in 2021. What began with experiments in oxygen concentrators gradually evolved into a broader mission to make medical imaging more accessible, particularly in areas with limited diagnostic facilities.

Today, Lenek has developed LeXIS, a 3.5 kg battery-powered portable X-ray system, with five units built and undergoing clinical validation. Its other major development, LIRA, an AI-powered chest X-ray analysis platform, has received a CDSCO Class B licence and secured its first paying customer, with the software now being used in clinical practice. The company has also installed its Lenek PACS system in hospitals. The founders' journey reflects how persistent homegrown innovation can gradually move from research and development towards practical healthcare applications.

What could portable imaging and AI-assisted screening mean for patients living far from major hospitals?
