Bengaluru-based social gaming startup Matiks has raised $10 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by General Catalyst, with participation from entrepreneur Ronnie Screwvala and existing investors. Founded in 2024, Matiks brings math, memory, logic and puzzle games into a competitive social experience where players can challenge themselves and others.
The startup reported that 2.2 million people played 48 million games on its platform in September 2026, highlighting its growing player community. Matiks plans to use the fresh capital to expand internationally, develop new games and social experiences, and build tools that let users create and publish their own brain games. Its ambition is to make mind sports as engaging and widely recognised as traditional sports and esports.
