Ahmedabad-based SpectraGaze Systems Private Limited Systems has raised ₹3.7 crore in seed funding, led by GVFL, with participation from angel investors. Founded in 2023 by Arup Banerjee, a former ISRO scientist with 23 years of experience, the startup develops optical imaging sensors and electro-optical payloads for space, defence and scientific applications.
The company has delivered an infrared detector and test system to ISRO, and counts the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) and Kaynes Technology among its customers. The new funding will support product development, engineering expansion and testing infrastructure as SpectraGaze works to advance indigenous imaging technology and reduce reliance on imported detectors.
