Indian deep-tech venture capital firm Unicorn India Ventures(UIV) has launched operations in the United States, appointing former Google executive Kishore Kanakamedala as Venture Partner to lead the expansion. The move aims to help Indian deep-tech startups access US markets, industry networks and global investors.
Under the new initiative, Kanakamedala will build a team of experienced operator-investors in the US, strengthen co-investment opportunities and help UIV’s portfolio companies expand internationally. The launch follows the firm’s ₹1,200 crore third fund and the ₹450 crore first close of the IITM Unicorn Frontier Fund I, reflecting its push to connect India’s deep-tech ecosystem with global opportunities.
