Gaming is getting the franchise-league treatment. Lets Game Now, an Indian gaming and esports company, has raised ₹30 crore in a funding round involving Anand Mahindra and a UAE-based family office, according to Indian Retailer. The money will go toward developing the Indian Super Gaming League (ISGL), its franchise-based league that combines competitive gaming, sports, entertainment and technology.
The company says it has reached more than 50 million people, organised over 2,000 events and operates across 18 countries. These are company-reported figures. The UAE family office also adds an international investor to the company’s funding network.
