For many Indian families, finding a nanny still depends on a neighbour’s recommendation.

For many Indian families, finding a nanny still depends on a neighbour’s recommendation. Bengaluru-based childcare company Maasi wants to make it more predictable, and it has raised ₹6 crore in a pre-seed round led by Better Capital alongside Antler India. Angel investors include founders from Rapido, Shadowfax and Xoxoday. Maasi trains, verifies and places caregivers with families, and says it will use the funds to scale caregiver recruitment and training, build its technology platform and grow its Bengaluru team.
The company says its public launch on 20 October drew a waitlist of more than 4,000 parents within five days, and that it has served over 1,200 parents with more than 500 caregivers. These are company-reported figures. Maasi grew out of Urban Parents Club, a Bengaluru community of more than 8,000 parents.
